Orphaned elephants band together in mini herds at the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Elephant Nursery, Nairobi National Park, East Africa. Captured while on assignment documenting the trade of endangered species and the illegal ivory trade. The Trust offers a safe haven to orphaned baby elephants in Kenya. The nursery cares for the young elephants, including hand rearing them until they are old enough to be gradually introduced back to the wild.
